The Florida Wing & Southeastern Region Awards Banquet is an annual gathering of Civil Air Patrol members. This gathering allows members to network, learn, teach, and grow as an organization. The awards banquet is a celebration of the achievements earned by our fellow members as well as a moment to pay honor to those who have fallen in the service of our nation.

Course Overview ICS-300 provides training and resources for personnel who require advanced knowledge and application of the ICS. It provides an in-depth focus on the NIMS Incident Command System (ICS) that includes the tools, practices and procedures that are available in ICS to effectively manage emergency incidents or planned local events. This course expands upon information covered in the ICS-100 and ICS-200 courses and insures that responders understand the basic ICS concepts that allow an incident management organization to expand and contract as needed to fit the incident and maintain its operational effectiveness.

Course Title ICS-400 Advanced Incident Command System

Course Overview ICS-400 provides training and resources for responders who require advanced application of the ICS by providing overall incident management skills rather than tactical expertise. Expanding upon information covered in ICS-100 through ICS-300 courses, ICS-400 emphasizes large-scale organizational development, roles and relationships of the command and general staff, and planning, operational, logistical and fiscal considerations related to large and complex incident and event management. The course also describes the application of Area Command and the importance of interagency coordination on complex incidents and events.

Course Overview This MRO course has some updated information and an additional module to assist with communications involving air operations. Participants will have a chance to work in field-like surroundings as well as the Mobile Communications (MCU).

Course Overview All wing and group communications officers are encouraged to attend. However, anyone who has completed the pre-requisites may take this course. Although a CAP DL is not required for the MCU portion of the course, the course participant will not be completely certified for movement.

Course Title NESA - Incident Commander/Incident Management Team Refresher & Recertification Seminar/Exercise

Rick Woolfolk, Southwest Region Director of Operations, IC1, and NESA Incident Command School Deputy Director. Seminar Senior Mentors: Mr. John Desmarais, CAP National Headquarters Director of Operations and Col. Luis Garcia, Wing Commander - Florida Wing.
Course Overview This two-day Seminar/Table Top Exercise is designed to reinforce the Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities of a CAP Level 3/Wing, Level 2/Regional, or Level 1/National Incident Management Team (IMT) to support the planning and execution of a multiple operational period incident or exercise. The lecture portion of the curriculum is four-hours long and the didactic materials are reinforced by a three operational period functional exercise. The measurables in this course are complete Incident Action Plans and Operational Period briefs developed and delivered by the IMT at the end of each operational period. The intent of the course is to allow the National, Regional, or Wing Commanders refresh and recertify their IMTs for upcoming operations, exercises, or evaluations. Each IMT will include no-less than seven members formed from the roster of attendees.

Course Overview DAART is a collaboration tool that includes sharing of photos, video, situational awareness, and more. It is used by CAP as well as many other federal and state agencies. DAART can be used by ground teams as well as aircrew, however this session focuses on use by mission base staff. We will cover all of the classroom tasks required to become DAARTU qualified, and several tasks towards DAARTO

Course Title Photography 101: Light and Composition Basics

Course Overview This course will introduce attendees to the basics everyone should know in order to take their best pictures. From shutter speed to aperture, white balance and focal length, camera modes, lightning and composition, understanding each aspect will ensure we tell the CAP story professionally through our pictures. The class will include live demonstrations utilizing a classroom studio to better illustrate concepts. Bring your interest, questions, and cameras.

Course Overview The objective of the UCC is to build a cadre of well-trained officers who are prepared to lead and manage at the squadron level. Graduates will be able to weave the management responsibilities of command with the leadership skills necessary to build and encourage their team of dedicated members from all walks of life and of all ages to accomplish CAP's mission and squadron objectives. This course has been revamped to include an online portion and two days of classroom instruction.

Course Overview This is the in-residence element of the TLC Basic Course with the objective of preparing Senior Members to contribute as Cadet Program Officers on a squadron staff. Some of the areas covered include the key traits of cadet life, the cadet promotion process, the responsibilities of Cadet Program Officers at the squadron level, weekly meeting schedules and the Quality Cadet Unit Award. While the course is intended for new or potential Cadet Program Officers, it can be a useful refresher for veteran CP Officers. The course will be interactive and hands on. Course Overview Join us for an exciting day of training on various CAP Cyber Training and Education Programs for cadets and senior members. We'll be providing training and best practices for starting, training and sustaining a CyberPatriot Team. We'll share brand new plans for training senior members to help with unit, wing, region and national level training programs for both cadets and senior members. We'll introduce attendees to a new "Cyber Fundamentals" program that will serve as part of an initial Operational Qualification for a future Cyber Defense Mission within Civil Air Patrol. We'll discuss proposed changes to the Cadet Cyber Programs Recognition. Finally, we'll discuss future plans for Wing, Region and National Cyber Training Events and Programs.
